WRD Commissioning Engineer & Start-Up Lead
Assignment Duration: Until 2010 or longer; Anchorage-based with 25% travel (to lower 48, North Slope and Fairbanks)
Duties: Responsible for all aspects of planning and execution of commissioning and start-up of the WRD facilities; leads the multi-discipline commissioning and start-up team; responsible for coordinating the preparation of all related procedures with the engineering companies, contractors, constructors and Operations;develops the commissioning & start-up plan; provides safety leadership and enforces the Company HSE policies, procedures and objectives; ensures that Company expectations are clearly defined and met; oversees contractor's commissioning and start-up work processes; ensures commissioning and start-up of WRD facilities is consistent with the Project Handbook, MPCP, Green Book, Company standards, Guidance on Certification, environmental regulations, and industry standards; provides status updates to the WRD Engineering Manager; coordinates the work of the FCO Coordinator and GOC engineers; interfaces with the rest of the team, especially the QA Lead; interacts with engineering contractors, fabrications shops, construction contractors, and Operations; holds and documents "Lessons Learned" meetings and completes other project closeout activities; participates in Constructability Reviews; coordinates with QA Coordinator to ensure adequate quality assurance and SQS programs are in place; ensures that Management of Change procedures are in place and adhered to by the contractor.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred, but will consider established experience in commissioning & start-up in lieu of education; experience in FCO, commissioning; start-up, SQS, QA, design, construction and project management; good problem analysis skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to travel 25% of time.
