WRD Commissioning Engineer & Start-up Lead

Location: Anchorage-based with travel to the North Slope of Alaska

Duties: Plans and executes commissioning and start-up of the WRD facilities and leads the multi-discipline commissioning and start-up team.  Coordinates the preparation of all commissioning and start-up procedures and operating procedures with the engineering companies, contractors, constructors, and Operations. Develops commissioning & startup plan (in early execute). Provides safety leadership, enforcing Company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and objectives. Ensure that Company expectations are clearly defined and met. Oversee contractor’s commissioning and start-up work processes. Ensures commissioning and start-up of WRD facilities is consistent with the Project Handbook, MPCP, Green Book, Company Integrity Management (IM) standards, Guidance on Certification, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Provides status updates to the WRD Engineering Manager.  Coordinates the work of the FCO Coordinator and GOC engineers. Interfaces with the rest of the team but in particular a close interface with the QA Lead.  Participates in interfaces with engineering contractors, fabrication shops, construction contractors, and Operations.  Hold “Lessons Learned” meetings and documents them to ensure they are captured for use on future projects and complete other project closeout activities. Participate in Constructability Reviews.  Coordinates closely with the QA Coordinator to ensure adequate quality assurance and SQS programs are in place. Ensures that Management of Change procedures are in place and adhered to by the contractor.

Requirements: At least 10 years experience in a variety of areas e.g., FCO, commissioning, start-up, SQS, QA, design, construction, and project management is required. Proven problem analysis skills. Must have excellent communication and people skills.
