Quality Control Inspector - Construction
Permanent Position
Duties: Assures that materials, workmanship and construction are in full compliance with the contract, plans and specifications, and applicable building codes ** Implements project quality control plans, reviews submittals (including recommendations for variations, value engineering, and betterments) ** Meets with subcontractors, trades, and client team as needed to define QC and safety policies and procedures with each newly definable feature of work ** Performs inspections ** Prepares and maintains inspection & performance records daily ** Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management or a combination of industry work experience and education equivalent to a four-year degree ** 2+ years of field experience in the role of Quality Control or 5-10 years of acceptable construction related experience ** Experience in vertical building and civil construction ** Project experience in the larger projects (over $1M) including multi-story buildings, site work, grading, and site utilities ** Must possess certification in US Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Control (CQC) for Contractors or be able to pass the course ** Experience with Government/Military projects, US Corps of Engineers and working with Title 2 oversight agencies ** Proficiency Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.** Possession of a current ICC/ACI certification in one or more disciplines is preferred.
Wage: $75K to 90K DOE
