Medical Customer Service Rep Trainee


Duties: Trainees work 10 to 4 each day for three weeks ** Will be trained in the following areas: How to interpret medical, dental, and vision insurance contracts to answer benefit questions professionally, competently, clearly and with confidence ** How to handle provider and member calls to give the claims status, eligibility, payment status, and benefits determination ** How to effectively function within the company's complex processing system ** How to efficiently perform and meet productivity standards ** Those who are successful and complete the training to standards will be offered permanent positions with company.

Requirements: Candidates absolutely must have working medical experience (such as working in a doctor's office, providing clerical support at a medical facility, clerical support at a medical billing firm, work at a chiropractic or optical practice, etc) ** Also must have at least one year working in a customer service position ** Ability to work positively as a member of a team ** General familiarity with HIPAA & PHI ** Typing at 35-40 WPM ** Strong basic math skills ** Some knowledge of medical terminology ** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ** Ability to maintain professional courtesy when dealing with clients, coworkers, medical providers and management ** Ability to maintain high level of attendance and punctuality.

Wage: $12 - $14/hour during training period (3 weeks) ** Possible raise if chosen for hire.
