HVAC Engineer
Duties:
Leads technical studies to identify air balance and positive pressure issues with existing HVAC systems ** Establishes project identification and prioritization ** Works with facility personnel to identify issues with air balance and positive pressure in existing HVAC systems ** Develops a risk prioritization matrix to determine the appropriate course of action ** Periodically re-prioritizes future projects through re-evaluation of the risk tool and inclusion of projects from the H&V studies and the Fire and Gas clearinghouse process ** Manages technical studies and provides technical oversight for smaller HVAC projects ** Provides technical support for major ventilation renovation projects throughout Design, Installation, FCO, Commissioning, Start-up and Decommissioning ** Develops specifications and control philosophies ** Develops a philosophy for the control and interface of HVAC systems with the fire and gas systems for both existing facilities and new facilities ** Develops specifications for HVAC requirement.
Requirements:
Requires a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering ** 10 years M.E. experience and at least 5 years of related HVAC system design for industrial projects ** Experience with Arctic environment a must ** PE license required ** Ability to plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed design phases of all aspects of HVAC Engineering work to include the development of detailed design for HVAC, hot water and electric systems
