Civil Project Engineer
Location: Anchorage, Alaska with up to 25% travel
Duties: Provides safety leadership, enforcing the Company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and objectives to ensure that designs are inherently safer, risks are reduced to ALARP, and HSE requirements are satisfied ** Provides leadership, along with the MP TA for the overall design efforts ** Ensures that appropriate design specifications and standards are being used in the design process ** Ensures project design is consistent with the Company Integrity Management standard, use of Guidance on Certification, and industry standards ** Reviews and provides comments on civil/structural designs ** Reviews engineering drawings and engineering work packages ** Provides safe, operable, and efficient facility and platform designs ** Evaluates and selects vendors and equipment ** Identifies integration and infrastructure issues ** Provides consultation and problem resolution ** Assists with performance tests and problem resolution ** Communicates and coordinates with Project Engineers and Project Leads ** Monitors performance of Engineering Contractor discipline engineers and reports deviations from acceptable performance to the Engineering Manager ** Coordinates work efforts with the Project Lead.
Requirements: B.S. degree in Engineering ** 10+ years broad-based civil/structural engineering experience ** Understanding of Company technical specifications and construction techniques is desired ** Proven track record of networking, teamwork and excellent communication skills ** Demonstrated capacity for innovation, lateral thinking, and flexibility ** Must be capable of: exhibiting HSE leadership ** Understanding of current project best practices and common processes ** Competency in relationship management ** Ability to work within multi-discipline teams, with particular experience in working with cross-functional teams (i.e. with subsurface, drilling, commercial teams, etc)
