Senior Automation Engineer

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Duties: Works with other Automation engineers, Fire & Gas engineers, MAC engineers and subject matter experts in a lead role during the front end loading (FEL) stage of AF&G projects ** Supports Project Leads by monitoring MAC, other subcontractors and providing technical review of project deliverables during the Execution stage of projects ** Ensures a correct and high focus on all HSE issues with particular emphasis on engineering aspects of HSE, including acting as a role model ** Provides capital project support for process control systems as part of large-scale control system modernization projects ** Provides capital project scoping, execution planning, cost estimating, identification and prioritization of issues, Front End Engineering, Factory Acceptance Testing ( FATS ) & Startup ** Stewards the Interfaces among the AF&G team, MAC , and subcontractor's organizations with respect to control and safety systems to ensure quality and minimize change orders ** Develops control philosophy, SIS philosophy, and ESD hierarchy ** Develops Detailed Functional Specification ** Responsible for the procurement of control system items including leading preparation of technical specifications, economic evaluations, bid evaluations and bid recommendations ** Ensures all automation engineering is in conformance with regulatory requirements, Company standards, and good industry practice.

Requirements: 10 to 15 years experience as an Automation Engineer ** BS in Engineering preferred ** Proven track record in engineering leadership.
